Concert: The Resurrection Choir of St Petersburg (Voskresenije)

The vocal ensemble Resurrection was founded in 1993. It consist of eight to ten professional female and male vocalists.The repertoire includes Russian sacred music as well as folk music. Guest performances in Germany, Switzerland, Norway, Austria, UK, France and Italy have met with great success. The group have recorded several CDs.

Morning prayer service will be held and afterwards the Liverpool International Nordic Community Company holds its Annual General Meeting at ca 12.15. Members will be notified by e-mail and postal mail.

Christmas Bazaar

Our traditional bazaar offers lovely open sandwiches and cakes, hot dogs and glögg on two floors. Handicraft items are also on sale. In the basement you can buy home-made cakes, Scandinavian food, Swedish glass, Christmas decorations, the popular Scandinavian vintage sale and a number of other things. ALL proceeds go to the up-keep of the church.

His next show is ‘The Square’, featuring an art installation reminding the viewers of their responsibilities to fellow human beings. However it is sometimes difficult to live up to your own ideals especially when real life takes over.

In the elegant world of artists and musicians in early 1900s Denmark, the once famous and sophisticated singer Gertrud (Nina Pens Rode) finally ends her marriage to her lawyer husband Gustav. Despite all her efforts he is unable to give her his total love as demanded leaving Gertrud to seek a further escape but to where and with whom?
