The board of LiNC cautiously decided to space out seating to accommodate 30 people safely and we expect visitors to still comply with Covid habits, ‘hands’ face and space’. It might appear overcautious but we are mostly elderly people and the pandemic is still around us.
Prices have gone up slightly: £5.00 for coffee, tea, sandwich and cake. Any extra portion will be £2.00 each.

Christmas Bazaar has been cancelled
Nov 20 @ 12:00 pm – 12:00 pm

We regret to inform you that the Bazaar is cancelled again this year.
In the light of increasing Covid numbers and the old building has not got a good ventilation, nor space for a lot of people, LiNC has taken the difficult decision to cancel this popular event. We also considered the fact that most of our volunteers are of the older generation who cannot and should not help us out in these Covid circumstances.
We optimistically hope instead to have a spring bazaar in the garden and basement.

Cancellation of the Lucia Concert
Dec 12 @ 4:00 pm

It is with great regret that we have to inform you that we have taken the difficult decision to cancel Lucia this year. In the light of the recent increases in infection risk due to the new variant and the delta variant, we have had to review if we could continue safely. Given the layout of the church, the relatively poor ventilation and available space we have concluded that we would have to restrict numbers significantly to ensure a reasonably safe environment. Given this is one of our most popular events we have concluded that to limit numbers would impact on the very nature of the event itself.
We would like, for example, to look at some form of Easter concert and would very much hope that you and any children you have will get involved in that.
We also hope to have a bazaar event in the spring, in lieu of the cancelled Christmas one, there is a lot of merchandise that can be bought all the year round.

The LiNC committee wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

Christmas Eve service is cancelled at the church, it is held as a Zoom meeting instead
Dec 24 @ 12:00 pm – Dec 31 @ 1:00 pm

The church council has decided regretfully to cancel the service in the church. It is one of the highlights of the season and to Nordic people the hymns we sing are the start of the joyful holy days of Christmas.
We hope that you have an understanding as to why it was decided not to have it, since the Covid pandemic is increasing every day.
Our church room and coffee room are not suitable for a larger gathering of people.
INSTEAD we invite you to join the congregation in a Zoom meeting at 12.oo noon where there is a Christmas Eve service with readings and prayers, led by Pastor Maris Sants with participation of members in their homes.
Please contact him on marissants@gmail.com and he will add your address to the invitation email for the Zoom meeting.
We wish you a peaceful Christmas and hope that we meet in the new year. Our first service will be on
Sunday 9 January at 11.30
