We are awaiting the government’s decisions of opening up society on 21 June.
Meanwhile there can only be 30 people present in a church building at the moment, so we await new regulations allowing us having more activities in the church. Please phone 07570853314 to ‘book a seat’ for Sunday services for now.
We are looking for volunteers to help us out with serving and cleaning at coffee mornings, film nights, craft groups, etc, please contact above number if you can help in any way.
Welcome back soon to the Gustaf Adolf Nordic Church at Park Lane!
Roger Metcalf, LiNC and Stan Royden, GANC
We launched a Christmas and New Year Appeal in December to help replace the funds we have lost as a result of the closure of the church due to the pandemic. We very much thank those that have generously sent donations to us.
All donations are very much welcome to help pay for the standing bills for the church building, gas, electricity, insurance, etc.
We do hope there is an end to the current circumstances so that the church’s activities can start up again and we can all meet up with friends again.
Here are the bank details if you want to add to our donations:
HSBC Bank plc Sort code 40-29-08
Account Number 04 03 99 63
Account Name Liverpool International Nordic Community
We thank you for any generous donation you can make
If you have not signed a Gift Aid form with us before but you can do so now, please contact us regarding this.
The LiNC board of directors
Bishop Tor B Jorgensen will participate in this Sunday’s Zoom service, celebrating Epiphany.
Anyone who would like to join in the congregation’s Zoom services on most Sundays at 11.30am can contact firstname.lastname@example.org, the pastor in charge, or email@example.com for information about how to join in with Zoom.
ON 17 May there will be a wreath-laying at the Norwegian Memorial at Pier Head at 11 am.
No further events, unfortunately, the kitchen at the Nordic Church is being refurbished and is unlikely to be up and running again before 17 May,
It is expected that many of those who turn up for the event at Pier Head will find somewhere to socialize afterwards.
Welcome back to the first service after the Covid closure. We follow all regulations which means that only 30 people can be present, with face mask worn, spaced out and sanitizers used.
Please use Park Lane door as an entrance and the garden door as an exit. At the service we cannot sing any hymn.
We then hold the AGM with the same restrictions.
We offer a simple meal afterwards in the coffee room, at most six people seated at one table.
PLEASE do tell us that you want to come because with only 30 allowed, there will only be ca 20 ‘ordinary’ members allowed. Phone 07570853314 to ‘reserve a seat’
