The Swedish learners’ conversation group meets each Thursday evening at seven
o’clock, on-line during the pandemic but in the church during normal times.
New members who can already speak some Swedish are welcome to join us.
For others who wish to start learning the language we can recommend effective
self-teaching materials, and when numbers are sufficient we can help beginners
to form a new mutual support group at the church – or on-line if the pandemic
continues.

Welcome back to the second service after the Covid closure. We follow all regulations which means that only 30 people can be present, with face mask worn, spaced out and sanitizers used.
Please use Park Lane door as an entrance and the garden door as an exit. At the service we cannot sing together.
We offer a simple meal afterwards in the coffee room, at most six people seated at one table.
PLEASE do tell us that you want to come because with only 30 allowed, there will only be ca 20 ‘ordinary’ members allowed. Phone 07570853314 to ‘reserve a seat’

Please note that on Sunday 25 July there will not be a service in the Nordic Church. There will, however, be a ‘zoom’ service instead. If you wish to take part, you can do so by contacting Pastor Maris Sants beforehand:
marissants@gmail.com.
Apologies for the change of plan, which is due to circumstances beyond our control.
There will be no services in August, the next one will be morning prayers on 5 September.
Due to illness, this Sunday service will be transmitted on Zoom instead of taking place at the Nordic Church
Please email our pastor, marissants@gmail.com, and he will send out invitations to join the Zoom meeting.
Services reflect our Nordic Lutheran tradition but all are very welcome to join us, pray and sing with us, hear the Word and receive communion or blessing. Bilingual liturgy booklets are provided.
Due to the Liverpool Marathon taking place in the centre of Liverpool and also on Park Lane it has been decided the service should take place as a Zoom meeting. Please email marissants@gmail.com for an invitation.

Due to a corona case we have decided to cancel the first coffee morning on 13 October.
The church will be open for Wednesday coffee mornings, starting on 20 October.
The board of LiNC cautiously decided to space out seating to accommodate 30 people safely and we expect visitors to still comply with Covid habits, ‘hands’ face and space’. It might appear overcautious but we are mostly elderly people and the pandemic is still around us.
Prices have gone up slightly: £5.00 for coffee, tea, sandwich and cake. Any extra portion will be £2.00 each.
It is with sadness we have to tell you that an old friend, Cajsa Arvidsson, has passed away on 11 October in Köping, Sweden, after a short illness.
She worked at the Swedish Seamen’s Church in Liverpool for ten years, leaving in late 90s to continue her work in Sweden. She will be missed by many of our parishioners and friends.
Our heart-felt condolences go to her family and friends.
