Acclaimed group The Telling presents a candle-lit concert of mesmerising medieval music including music by Hildegard of Bingen, chants and troubadour melodies.

Utøya 22. Juli is told from the perspective of one of the female teenagers trapped on the island. The film is based exclusively on the testimony of the survivors but the characters are fictitious. In July 2011, a teenage girl struggles to survive and to find her younger sister during the terrorist attack at a political summer camp on the Norwegian island of Utøya.

Starting with the exploits of Christopher Columbus, Sir Francis Drake and Sir Walter Raleigh, this programme takes musical inspiration from the Renaissance courts, the high sea, Anglo-Spanish conflicts and the indigenous people of the Americas.
Music spanning over 500 years, including Thomas Tallis, Vivaldi and Vaughan Williams, is performed by a young group, Palisander on historically authentic recorders.

Mr Ian Clarke of Cultural Wines Ltd will introduce you to the wines and Q-Quartet (2 violins, a viola and a cello) will perform the music.
